SRC Presentation on RSAB Recommendations 2009

View File: SRC Presentation on RSAB Recommendations 2009

Presentation summarizes the recommendations of Philadelphia’s Renaissance School Advisory Board (RSAB) that provided guidance to the School District of Philadelphia on its restart process. In 2009, the School District of Philadelphia established the RSAB of 60+ community leaders, education advocates, and district leaders to provide recommendations to the District on how to implement the Renaissance schools initiative. The advisory board sub-committees met weekly over an eight-week period to establish recommendations on three critical elements of the restart process: 1) turnaround provider recruitment and selection, 2) school identification, and 3) community engagement and communication.
