Evaluation rubric used by New Schools for New Orleans (NSNO) to evaluate charter operator applications for i3 grant funds to open restart schools in New Orleans.
In order to be eligible for the NSNO i3 grant, new and existing charter operators had to receive approval from the Louisiana Department of Education to open a new charter school in New Orleans, and commit to open as a restart of a Recovery School District (RSD) school. The i3 restart grant program is an example of how a third party organization, independent from the restart authorizer, can play a critical role in recruiting and supporting restart operators.
