View Resource: Louisiana Charter Operator Pitch Book
The Louisiana Recovery School District (RSD) designed this presentation to recruit high-performing school operators to open schools in Louisiana, with a focus on Baton Rouge and New Orleans. This presentation describes the operating conditions that make Louisiana a good place to open schools. This presentation was part of a larger collaborative recruitment campaign between the Louisiana Department of Education, the Recovery School District (RSD), Jefferson Parish Public Schools, New Schools New Orleans, and New Schools Baton Rouge.
Outcomes and Lessons Learned: The RSD and the Louisiana Department of Education used this document in collaboration with a local school system and key non-profit partners to operate a coordinated cycle of recruitment and cultivation for high-quality charter school organizations. It was extremely useful to have one document that reflected the messaging of all parties and clearly explained the broader opportunity set in Louisiana. Charter school organizations responded positively to this approach.
