View Resource: Application to Match to Restart School
This document outlines the process steps and specific application questions that a pre-approved TN ASD operator must address in order to apply to “match” with a specific restart school. The intended audience is a pre-approved operator. This is the mechanism to collect student and program-specific detail from operators who have already met a quality bar at authorization and who seek to become the matched restart provider for a low performing school. The primary reviewer for the match application is the Neighborhood Advisory Council.

Outcomes and Lessons Learned: Operators completed this application and then the prepared document was distributed to each member of the ASD Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC). We learned that not only the content but the aesthetics of the application was important to NAC members. The applications helped operators to be thoughtful about how they served school communities. In the future we would encourage the operators to visit the existing schools as part of the match process.
