View Resource: Future Schools Summit Binder Packet
The document includes the agenda, speaker bios, and presentation slides from the Louisiana Future Schools Summit that was hosted in January 2013 in support of charter and restart operator recruitment. The Summit was a collaboration between multiple Louisiana-based organizations with a mutual interest in attracting high-performing organizations; including the Louisiana RSD and DOE, Jefferson Parrish Public School System, New Schools for New Orleans, and New Schools for Baton Rouge.
Outcomes and Lessons Learned: The collaborative invited 15 different school operators to the Summit, and eight operators attended. Some of these operators have since opened new schools in Louisiana. The Summit binder packet, along with the LA Operator Pitch Book and LA Call to Action documents, provide insights on Louisiana’s approach for recruiting operators for restart and new starts schools.
