The Camden City School District released this press announcement in February 2016 to communicate agreements between renaissance school (restart) operators and local community groups to expand the operators’ neighborhood-focused approach by committing additional resources to family programming, ensuring community access to their newly constructed and renovated buildings, and giving local residents preference for jobs and contracts. The agreements were brokered by the Camden school district and reinforce the authorizer’s and operators’ ongoing commitment to family and community engagement in restart schools.
