View Resource: Planning Year Component of School Application
This page is pulled from the TN ASD application document. It asks an operator to outline their plans for activities (and associated costs) during their planning year(s) to ensure a successful school launch.

People/organizations interested in editable versions of a document should submit an ASD Help Desk ticket with their request(s).
Outcomes and Lessons Learned: This portion/attachment from the charter RFP provides a high-level glimpse into an applicant’s school opening/readiness preparations. The applicant review team often asks probing questions in the interview to drill down into the plans—a “pressure test” of sorts to determine the level of detail an applicant can use when speaking to these start-up tasks.
Our goal is for this planning year document to be a useable action plan that operators actually implement in their “year 0,” however we find that most operators actually have a completely different internal planning document they use. We’re thinking through if and how to marry the two documents to avoid duplicative work.
