View Resource: Green Dot Preparation for School Opening or Transformation
This Green Dot tool is designed to outline characteristics of a complete and successful school transformation. The tool identifies critical actions to assess and prepare for opening a school restart; addressing topics of school facilities, information technology, real estate, school services, security, knowledge management, purchasing, marketing, and human resources. The tool is designed to support the following objectives once Green Dot has access to the restart school: 1) as a checklist to assess space during first site visit, 2) after initial transformation space assessment, to reach agreement with all parties on operations deliverables, 3) after space assessment and review with all parties, to identify gaps to existing campus as input to Green Dot departments’ work plan, and 4) throughout transformation process, to re-align expectations if conditions change. Green Dot Public Schools is a Los Angeles-based CMO that has led the restart of five schools in Los Angeles and Memphis.
